Monitor Locations
A total of 12 air monitors are located at perimeter of the Garfield Avenue Site. Six are fixed monitors, meaning they will not be moved throughout the duration of the cleanup. Four monitors, meanwhile, are portable, meaning they are moved as the focus of work at the site shifts from location to location. Both fixed and portable monitors measure dust, 24 hours, seven days a week. Additionally, during work hours, these monitors collect airborne chrome samples. Finally, two monitors collect airborne chromesamples only, 24 hours, seven days a week.
