Representatives available while information center is temporarily closed
JERSEY CITY, N.J., Jan. 12, 2012 – Representatives remain available to answer questions in connection with PPG Industries’ chromium cleanups while the company’s public information center near the Garfield Avenue cleanup site is temporarily closed.
Officials with the Garfield Avenue Renewal Company, PPG’s wholly owned subsidiary responsible for assisting PPG with community outreach in Jersey City, said they expect the office at 71 Carteret Ave., to resume operations in three to four weeks when electrical service is restored.
